Disaster Movies are Easily Forgotten, Apparently

This was a recent conversation between my mother-in-law and me.  Hilarious (in the good way).

A couple weeks ago, we were at my in-laws' house.  My MIL walked up to me with a library copy of Into the Storm and asked me if I'd seen it yet.

I stared at her incredulously for a moment before replying, "Yes, I have.  You gave it to me for Christmas two years ago."

Just as incredulously, she replied, "I did? I don't remember that..."

"After I opened it, we watched it together before the family showed up," I said.

"Oh.  Really?  We really watched it?  Okay... Do you want to watch it again?"

"Yes."

Then we watched Into the Storm in her bedroom while eating watermelon.  Haaaa.  (This is especially funny because when she gave me the movie, she'd recently discovered we both love disaster movies and was super excited to have someone around who also likes them.)
